Join Sea Shepherd for a Screening of Sharkwater at University of Tampa

Wednesday, April 11, 2018 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Time Zone: America/New_York
Local Time: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Join Sea Shepherd and University of Tampa's Tampa Spartan's for Animals, for the FREE screening of the film Sharkwater; written and directed by the late Rob Stewart.

Stewart travels with Captain Paul Watson and crew on one of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's ships as they confront shark poachers in Guatemala and Costa Rica. Among the group's experiences are boat confrontations, poachers, police, corrupt court systems, and eventually murder charges. Also, Stewart shows how the increasing demand for shark-fin soup in Asia is fueling an illegal trade in sharks.  Find out what Stewart discovers as sharks have gone from predator to prey. While they have survived Earth's mass extinctions, they could be extinct within a few years. The film has received 31 international awards.

We will have official Sea Shepherd merchandise available to purchase as well as the latest info on our critical campaigns to save the ocean and its inhabitants. We look forward to seeing you! Please RSVP on Facebook if you are coming so we have a headcount for the theater.

The theater is in the Vaughn Center on the 2nd floor and there is parking.

Location: University of Tampa, Reeves Theater,
401 W Kennedy Blvd.,
