From the Cove to Captivity: A Sea Shepherd Photo Exhibit - Philadelphia, PA

Wed, 30 Jul, 2014 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Join Sea Shepherd Philadelphia for the "From the Cove to Captivity" photo exhibit on July 30, 2014 from 7 PM to 10 PM at A Space Community Center, located at 4722 Baltimore Avenue, West Philly.

The exhibit is centered around stark and graphic images photographed by Sea Shepherd’s international volunteer Cove Guardians during Operation Infinite Patience. Established in September 2010, Operation Infinite Patience maintains a permanent presence to monitor and report on the cruel drive hunt, captive trade, and slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan, which was made famous by the Academy Award-winning documentary, The Cove (2009).

From The Cove to Captivity is Sea Shepherd’s memorial to the many thousands of dolphins who have been brutally slaughtered in the Cove, and our tribute to the thousands who have been stolen from their families and sold into abbreviated lives in captivity. Every ticket purchased to a captive facility supports this ongoing travesty.

Local Cove Guardian activists will also speak about their experiences and why they joined the campaign

$10 suggested donation.
